There are different kinds of Special Sessions in the IDRiM2025 Conference. Special Sessions are online, hybrid or in-person, and are structured as a series of presentations followed by Q&As, panel discussions, interactive group discussions etc. 

Before the conference

∙ The description of each Special Session can be found on the Conference website. Please contact the session convener(s)/chairperson(s) for more information on how the session will be organized. 

∙ The convener(s) have the responsibility of leading the discussion therefore they are responsible for the structure of the session. 

∙ In general, a session lasts 90 minutes. Please respect the program of the session to ensure enough time for audience participation and questions. 

∙ If you want to participate in-person in an online or hybrid session, please be in the room mentioned in the Conference Program. 

∙ Check with the convenor(s)/chairperson(s) if the session is going to be recorded and notify them if you have any objection.   

∙ Rooms at the venue have PowerPoint facilities.

∙ Use the Conference Program to find the session you contribute to and make note of the planned date, time, room, and chairperson(s) 

∙ If you have a presentation in a Special Session, please save your presentation in the following format: ‘PRESENTER SURNAME_ROOM CODE_DDMMYEAR_FIRST TWO WORDS OF TITLE’ 

∙ Submit your presentation slides to idrim2025@aegean.gr by Friday 26 September 2025 to avoid technical delays on the day. 

∙ Please do not put too much text on each slide, have a minimum font size of 20pt.

At the conference 

∙ Special Sessions will be chaired by the session convener(s)/chairperson(s) 

∙ On your arrival to the room/entering the online the connection, notify the convener(s) 

and the staff.

∙ Arrive/connect at least 5 minutes before the start of your session. 

∙ Check with the convenor(s)/chairperson(s) if the session is going to be recorded and notify them if you have any objection.
