Before the conference

∙ Presentations will be organised into themed sessions. Each session will have designated chairpersons who will convene speakers.

∙ Find your presentation in the Conference Program and make note of the planned date, time, room, and chairperson(s)

∙ In general, each presentation lasts 12 minutes. Young Scientists will also have 12 minutes to present their work. For each presentation, there will be 2 minutes for Questions/Answers and discussion. One minute is scheduled for presenter change-over between presentation slots.

∙ Experience shows that questions and discussion are highly valued by participants so make sure there is time left for this.

∙ Do not speak longer than planned as this will negatively impact other speakers in your session.

∙ Rooms have PowerPoint facilities.

∙ Do not put too much text on each slide and have a minimum font size of 20pt.

∙ Prepare your presentation timely. Submit your presentation slides to idrim2025@aegean.gr by Friday 26 September 2025 to avoid technical delays on the day.

∙ Please save the file of your presentation in the following format: ‘PRESENTER SURNAME_ROOM CODE_DATE [DDMMYEAR]_FIRST TWO WORDS OF TITLE’

During the conference

∙ Familiarise yourself with the room you are presenting in and check your presentation in advance of the session.

∙ Arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of your session: all presenters must be in the room before the session can begin.

∙ Introduce yourself to the chairperson(s) of the session and confirm your name and details and the title of your talk.

∙ On your arrival, notify the staff that you will be presenting and they will indicate the location of your presentation. There will be a directory saved on the computer desktop for containing all PowerPoint presentations of that session.

∙ Someone will be in each room to assist with technical issues and to help you get your presentation on the screen.
