1. Special sessions

These are scientific exchanges on a specific common topic. Typically, they are organized as a group of oral presentations (minimum 3 presentations, maximum 5 presentations) by one or more authors each, after one short symposium introduction by the coordinator. Each session includes a Q&A or other type of discussion. However, other forms of Special session will be also considered. Foreseen duration: 90min.

2. Oral presentations

These are individual oral presentations by one or more authors. They will be organised in sessions based on their topic. A Q&A discussion for all presentations will take place at the session’ s end.

3. Poster presentations

They represent an individual poster presentation by one or more authors and an individual Q&A/discussion of the poster during a specified time slot.

4. Young Scientists Session (YSS)

Young scientists are a unique group within the academic world, as they often introduce innovative ideas and research that can support or even challenge existing ways of thinking about the world around us. However, usually young scientists leave academia within three years of completing their research programs. Consequently, many of their ideas and research often leave as well, without the exposure they deserve.

The Young Scientists Session (YSS) is a unique and special occasion that the Annual IDRiM conference offers to young scientists as an opportunity to present their innovative research to a wider audience. Young scientists have the opportunity to make an oral presentation (for all participants) and a poster presentation (in person only participants).

5. Round tables and workshops

Workshops and round tables are exchanges between various stakeholders and especially between practitioners, scientists and decision-makers at local, national and international level.
